TERRORSTAT was formed by Jonsson (guitar/riffs) in November of year 2008. As a former member of ABUSE 1994-2004 ( http://www.myspace.com/abuseuppsala ) Jonsson wanted to create a modern dark crust band based in his new hometown Gothenburg (Sweden) as a last effort to make a real legacy in the genre.  He soon hooked up with Gonzo from NO HAWAII ( http://www.myspace.com/nohawaii ) on bass and Ufuk from WALK THROUGH FIRE ( http://www.myspace.com/walkthroughfire420 ) and also SHADOW BUILDER ( http://www.myspace.com/shadowbuilder666 ) on drums and began writing some songs. After only a couple of weeks of rehearsing they entered the studio and laid down 8 tracks of furious d-beat and crushing heavy riffs.

Now was the time to find someone who could manage to lay down the vocals in the same quality as the music and become the singer of the band. After some searching they found a perfect vocalist, Tompa from RADIOSKUGGA ( http://www.myspace.com/radioskugga ). He entered the studio and literally screamed his guts out and became a member of the band. TERRORSTAT directly began searching for a label and actually found two, EBM RECORDS (MEXICO) for CD's. The recording done in December 2008 was baptized to TERRA FIRMA and is going to be released as a split with the totally grim kick ass band TWISTED SYSTEM, Canada ( http://www.myspace.com/twisteds ). TERRORSTAT did some gigs on demand in Sweden during the first half of 2009 but a tour at least for Europe is planned as soon as TERRA FIRMA is released.  TERRA FIRMA is Latin for “the earth” but also it refers to the swedish word “firma” which means “company” or “corporation”.

The name TERRORSTAT is two swedish words put together as one. Terror is "Terror" and stat is "state". The word Terrorstat has been reffered to Israel some times, but Terrorstat also is all other states who terrorize and brutalize their citizens economically, physically and mentally, A Terrorstat is USA and a Terrorstat is Sweden , a Terrorstat is all capitalistic shit systems which rule our entire world. But TERRORSTAT terrorize the state.

TERRORSTAT is currently working on new,  even darker material. The theme for the songs will, according to Jonsson, be of a “post apocalyptic nature”.
